So I figured i'd get this thing going now that a new tour is starting and the rest of the year is shaping to be pretty exciting.
I flew into Boston yesterday to meet up with Set Your Goals again. Let me try and fill you in real quick on what has happened since the last post:
-New Found Glory Europe Tour got cancelled with about 5 shows left, Paramore ended up having to go home yadda yadda yadda.
-Worked for Myspace on the Spring Myspace Music Tour, sponsor jobs rule, got to work with my good ol pal Mikey Galt. Things got silly, my ipod got stolen, and I saw good friends in every city. Techno rules.
The tour ended in LA so I stayed out there and worked for NFG at Bamboozle Left the first day and Set Your Goals the second.
-Started and finished the Bamboozle Road Show with Set Your Goals. The tour was really fun, bands and crew were both awesome, Saves the Day doing all request sets definitely made the tour.
That's everything in a nutshell up until now, i'll try to stay as regular as my bowel movements updating this thing, but I can't make any promises that it happens every day...
My friend Matty picked me up from the airport yesterday and we set out to get some Grasshopper. For those interested, Grasshopper is my regular place of eating when I'm in Boston...best vegan food in the area. We sat in traffic for a really long time and got there by 6pm.
Meeting us there was none other than Sweet Pete of In My Eyes fame.
Sitting down having dinner talking about hardcore and straight edge definitely made me feel good about it all and where it's all taken me over the years. Still vegan and still straight edge for over 20 years, and still actively involved in the hardcore scene nearing the age of 40. Props.
So i'm here in Boston to start this tour with Set Your Goals, quick 8 shows back to California with I Am the Avalanche, Hit the Lights, and a bunch of other bands I don't know when or how many dates each are playing.
Hopefully I can stay on top of this thing, my mind is getting foggy on exact places and some eventful happenings so I really need this to document some of it at least!
ah, and some stuff to check out:
my friend Matty sings in a band called A Loss For Words.

Boston Pop Punk brought to you by hardcore kids with a soft side.
I've never met a band with so much heart and passion for what they do. From following Warped Tour in their van just to hustle their CD to the line at 10 am to driving around the country booking their own shows barely having enough to eat or get to the next place.

New Found Glory Euro Trip
Day 2 in Manchester...
Chad and I woke up early to head to some Morrissey/Smiths sites before lobby call at 1pm. Headed to the Salford Lads Club first. The Lads Club is the backdrop of a picture used in the insert of The Queen is Dead. Since then it's become almost sort of a mecca for traveling fans.
We made our cab driver stay and just drive us around.
Next stop was the Iron Bridge on Kinds Rd. Referenced in the song "Still Ill". it's sandwiched between 2 buildings. Got off and took some pictures and headed back.
First day of the Paramore tour went well. So many kids.
I love how in America, liking Paramore is a guys guilty pleasure but guys over here rep Paramore and are SUPER into it.
I crashed out early last night. Needed all the sleep I could get.
Woke up early this morning and went around Manchester some more.
Night 2 tonight.

New Found Glory Euro Trip
Didn't leave Dublin until 6 am. Apparently, some kids still saw the bus outside and wanted to hang out so they walked in our bus and said something or other, then ran on the roof of the bus...what?
it all got explained to me while I was half asleep. Then someone said "I think they ran away" so I went back to sleep.
Woke up again at 8 when we were supposed to get up to get on the ferry. Nobody wanted to leave the bus, so we just stayed in the bus and slept. IF the thing would have sunk, then there would have been no way to get out....thats why you can't stay in your car.
Arrived in Manchester. Sun was gone by 5pm.

New Found Glory Euro Trip
I left Miami on the 25th. Flew over with Cyrus, Jordan and Josh.
Virgin Atlantic had a great selection of movies and multi-player games which caused me not to sleep the entire way over.
The Darjeeling Limited and Into the Wild were my movies of choice for the flight over.
We arrived in London and met up with the bus. I stayed in London with Chad and Jordan while the rest of the band drove to Dublin. We were supposed to see Morrissey, but he canceled the show due to not feeling well.
Such a bummer, but we made the best of it and ate at our favorite local English eating establishment, Friday's.
Not surprising, but the entire city is littered with all kinds of Smiths and Morrissey references and they seemed to be the only things I was running into all night...Girlfiend in a Coma was even playing in a store we were in. Almost like England was dumping on me for missing the show.
Earlier this morning, we flew over to Dublin and met up with everyone.
Aileen came to the venue and hung out.
Euro Trash Fest has officially started
