So I figured i'd get this thing going now that a new tour is starting and the rest of the year is shaping to be pretty exciting.
I flew into Boston yesterday to meet up with Set Your Goals again. Let me try and fill you in real quick on what has happened since the last post:
-New Found Glory Europe Tour got cancelled with about 5 shows left, Paramore ended up having to go home yadda yadda yadda.
-Worked for Myspace on the Spring Myspace Music Tour, sponsor jobs rule, got to work with my good ol pal Mikey Galt. Things got silly, my ipod got stolen, and I saw good friends in every city. Techno rules.
The tour ended in LA so I stayed out there and worked for NFG at Bamboozle Left the first day and Set Your Goals the second.
-Started and finished the Bamboozle Road Show with Set Your Goals. The tour was really fun, bands and crew were both awesome, Saves the Day doing all request sets definitely made the tour.
That's everything in a nutshell up until now, i'll try to stay as regular as my bowel movements updating this thing, but I can't make any promises that it happens every day...
My friend Matty picked me up from the airport yesterday and we set out to get some Grasshopper. For those interested, Grasshopper is my regular place of eating when I'm in Boston...best vegan food in the area. We sat in traffic for a really long time and got there by 6pm.
Meeting us there was none other than Sweet Pete of In My Eyes fame.
Sitting down having dinner talking about hardcore and straight edge definitely made me feel good about it all and where it's all taken me over the years. Still vegan and still straight edge for over 20 years, and still actively involved in the hardcore scene nearing the age of 40. Props.
So i'm here in Boston to start this tour with Set Your Goals, quick 8 shows back to California with I Am the Avalanche, Hit the Lights, and a bunch of other bands I don't know when or how many dates each are playing.
Hopefully I can stay on top of this thing, my mind is getting foggy on exact places and some eventful happenings so I really need this to document some of it at least!
ah, and some stuff to check out:
my friend Matty sings in a band called A Loss For Words.

Boston Pop Punk brought to you by hardcore kids with a soft side.
I've never met a band with so much heart and passion for what they do. From following Warped Tour in their van just to hustle their CD to the line at 10 am to driving around the country booking their own shows barely having enough to eat or get to the next place.
